Fear of humans. I suffer from it now.
Once in a while I just need to s-c-r-e-a-m everybody, get lost and stay away from me!
Humans, you bring so much joy to my life. Yet you bring forth an equal amount of pain.
Every individual has their own set of quirks and problems. No one's blaming you for being who you are. So don't expect I'll change to be who you want me to be for your convenience. I am who I am. Unless there is a need in the Spirit to repent and change for the better, I am still a work-in-progress.
So by the way, I am private, reserved and self-seeking. I get cross easily at injustice and flamboyance. It is not in my nature to probe into the affairs of others and I'd never point a gun at their temple to make them tell me about their lives. Yet I totally wouldn't mind if they shared and my sense of loyalty and general compassion for mankind would automatically kick in. I may seem like I don't care but if you were to have a talk at length with me you'd find that I care too much. I like to be left alone unless the counsel of others is voluntarily sought, hence I assume that people in general think likewise and I'd strongly respect the space each person needs. I am not big on gifts towards friends and have no idea why I haven't done anything concrete to break this culture. But I treat every thread of friendship as gold and inscribe every name in my heart solemnly. I try to render advice and encouragement to friends when they share their lives with me not because I think I know it all, because I truly care and want the best for them.
Now here is the bottom line. I have not loved the way God loves and I can never meet His mark. But if you come to me with a gentle, seeking spirit and open arms, I will receive you with love and empathy. If you come with bitterness towards me, I'd suggest you sort yourself out first. If you do not come, then you have not sought my counsel and I am in no position to support you. But in all circumstances, I do pray that Heavenly Father will help you.
I wish more of my friends or acquaintances will understand this point about me. Forget all the rubbish about "you have your own things I don't want to waste your time" or "you don't seem to care so why would I want to make you care". Listen, this is my promise. If you approach me and I disregard you, I owe it to you. If you don't approach me, you owe it to yourself. May you then have a greater accountability partner and find your solace elsewhere.
Just want to end this with the basics I hold on to:
Ecclesiastes 4: 9-13
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Proverbs 27:5-6
Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
Proverbs 22:24
Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Humans are insatiable. Myself included.
"I don't like one or a few of my family members."
Be glad you have a house, be glad you have a basic family unit. Social loneliness and helplessness is not something you want to experience daily.
"My life is in a big mess."
Be glad, by God's grace, you have survived the present and tomorrow is an opportunity to set things straight.
"I don't like my job."
Be glad, you have received education and possess a set of skills. But knowledge kills, faith builds.
"I don't have enough money to finance my ideal traveling habits and future house."
Be glad that you are not in dire straits. Some have experienced days where their bank account was zero and the next meal was unknown. Yet the Lord has been faithful and provided for them.
"Today's worship/sermon sucks."
Be glad that you have a team of volunteers and pastors to make your church-going possible.
"I don't have enough nice clothes to wear."
You have, look into your wardrobe.
"I'm angry that my boyfriend didn't give in to me."
Be glad you have someone to love and that someone loves you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
John 10:10 I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

It's all about God
An extract from Divine Encounters, Bill Johnson, Spiritual Java et al.
The release of the presence of God, which carries in the Kingdom of God, happens through five actions that I am aware of:
(1) Laying on of hands. This is a biblical mandate. Heb 6:1-2 "therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity...the laying on of hands.." the Kingdom within us is released through the touch of faith, which is an intentional act for healing, blessing, or impartation. Mark 16:15-18 "..Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation..they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
To be honest, I didn't grow up feeling totally comfortable with others laying hands on me, much less having to lay hands on others. We Asians must live up to our legacy of being restrained and shy at all times. Besides the point of being shy/ashamed about it, there were instances in my life where I found the act meaningless. A group of missionaries are leaving tomorrow and the pastor encourages the entire congregation to lift our hands towards the group while they were being prayed for. Or, while walking pass the corridor in church, members within a cell are spotted laying hands on one another while bowing in prayer. Like whatever for?
Until the recent years, this principle of laying on of hands remained an unnecessary and somewhat vulgar act in my view. The church I worship at embarked on a spirit-led movement some time back and almost every Sunday, the congregation was encouraged to lift their hands and receive from Jehovah Jireh. It could be physical healing, emotional healing, blessings asked in His name, even laughter, holy laughter. Being a young adult who still resides very much in the "discovery" phase of life, I wanted to try everything out. I count it a fortunate thing that my boyfriend, a staff in church then, would encourage me in this aspect and fill me in with more uplifting testimonies that only the insiders were aware of. Slowly but surely, I did begin to see greater meaning in what the elders in church were encouraging us to do. Glenn has this wonderful gift of having both palms heated up whenever there is release of power. He also knew when people released annointing to him as his palms and body would heat up. In order to ascertain this was something spiritual and not self-concocted, he once prayed at home for Heavenly Father to release His anointing, then placed his hands in the freezer, only to find that his palms warmed up in an extraordinary fashion. There were times when we prayed for each other and he asked me to feel the "heat" too. I really felt it. It was almost like a direct transfer of heat from his palms to mine, just that the naked eye wasn't capable to witness it.
Enough of the testimonies of others. I too, have my own to share, and I give thanks to the Lord for this. I never thought I could impart healing or blessings unto others in a tangible manner until friends whom I have prayed for told me they could feel the transference of heat to the part of the body which I laid my hands on. Before Glenn and I were a couple, there was one time when he commented he was physically exhausted and I laid my hand on his forehead as a gesture of comfort while I uttered a prayer for him. I obviously didn't think much of it and wanted to retract my hand after the prayer, but he was smiling from ear to ear even while I stood there awkwardly with one arm raised. And he said, "Mmm, the healing power from the Lord is flowing in the form of heat waves. Can you feel it?" Frankly, I wasn't sharp enough to detect anything he was saying. But I was so stunned that I simply gave thanks to God for using me as His vessel.
Gradually as I honed myself to be more in tune with the unseen, I begin to understand and agree with the significance of lifting and laying hands. Sometimes I do feel His presence and anointing with His children even as I stand amongst the congregation. In other times when I pray for others, I do feel heat waves leaving my palms, especially when I pray for those in real need and I desire greatly to impart. I guess such experiences which even Science can't explain must be coupled with faith, faith and more faith. Never mind if I can't feel or see a visible difference. Never mind if I look stupid raising my hands when those around look all calm and composed; I want to be in the posture of surrender. Jesus felt the healing virtue leaving Him when the woman plagued with blood issues for 12 years touched the tip of His garment. Jesus often lifted His hands and head toward the heavens. In Him, there is nothing to be ashamed of.
I still struggle in this aspect occasionally, especially when people I pray for happens to be the someone of the opposite gender. I still do wonder if transference of the Lord's power did occur when more often than not I feel nothing else but the bare skin of the person I prayed for. But I learnt and would very much like to practise - let go, and let God. It's not about me and my fancies, it's all about God.
Time forbids me to share in greater length, the other 4 actions the book mentioned. But just as others have encouraged me, I also encourage you to seek out your own. Ask and you shall be given. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened to you. This is the unfailing promise the Lord has towards His children. Hallelujah, Hosanna to the highest.

Too disappointed to carry on. Too hurt to explain. Too numb to hope, only to face the cycle again. Then just let me live it alone.
Please don't probe, I'm fine. I just needed a private outlet, and I just need some restful breathing space.
